Giresun - Türkiye · 40.9434° N, 38.2867° E
For over 25 years I have been developing products in the field of centrifugal pumps and turbomachinery, from hydraulic design to casting pattern, from manufacturing to performance testing. For manufacturers, I provide production-ready engineering solutions, from the revision of a single impeller or casing to the development of complete pump series from scratch.
I work with manufacturers in Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa on a project-based or ongoing outsourced R&D model.
Production-ready and validated engineering for pump manufacturers

Hydraulic Design and Efficiency Optimisation
Hydraulic design of new pump series and performance improvement of existing products; improvement of Q–H–η characteristics, reduction of hydraulic losses, cavitation and NPSH assessments, rotor–stator interaction and stage optimisation. Comparison of design and test results through ANSYS CFX / Fluent based CFD analyses; hydraulic development towards MEI targets within the ErP framework, depending on the product scope.
Production-Ready Engineering Package
Parametric 3D models prepared with Siemens NX and SolidWorks, technical drawings, casting pattern and core data, manufacturing documentation, performance curves and, depending on project scope, test/validation reports. Stress, vibration and fatigue assessments of shaft, impeller and casing components.
Your External R&D Department
Working as your factory’s engineering base, I lighten your technical workload. From a single product revision to the development of a complete pump series, I provide project-based or ongoing R&D support to the extent you need.
“You focus on production and growing your market; I’ll take care of engineering and product development.”
You can contact me to develop a new pump series or to make your existing products more efficient and competitive.
“Every minute spent in the right place, for the right purpose, turns into knowledge, experience and lasting value.”
Career journey
From manufacturing to turbomachinery
I began my career at Ford Otosan; working in the machining, CNC programming, tool-and-die and body welding departments of the automotive OEM industry, I learned the discipline of series production and saw in practice how a designed part becomes reality on the machine tool, in the die and on the series production line. At Marmara Türbin, in the technical service carrying out the maintenance, repair and spare part manufacturing of marine turbochargers, I prepared critical components of ABB, MAN, Mitsubishi, Napier, IHI and KBB turbochargers, such as rotor shafts, turbine blades, compressor impellers, nozzle rings and diffusers, for remanufacture through reverse engineering, parametric CAD modelling and Mazak 5-axis CNC programming. This period formed the foundation of my approach to reverse engineering and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Centrifugal pump design
I was introduced to centrifugal pump design at Standart Pompa. For more than eight years, I carried out the hydraulic design of pump casings and impellers across a large part of the company’s product range and prepared the fluid volume geometries for CFD analyses; I created the parametric 3D solid models and the assembly, manufacturing and casting pattern drawings. Flow geometry, casting and manufacturing were not new to me; what I learned was the product itself.
From R&D management to independent consultancy
At Norm Pompa, as R&D Manager for the first two years and as an independent R&D Consultant for the following three, I managed the development of the product range, the establishment of the hydraulic and mechanical design infrastructure and the conversion of product information into production-ready technical documentation. During the same period, I worked for more than five years as an outsourced R&D consultant for a centrifugal pump manufacturer in Konya whose name I do not share because of my confidentiality obligation; I carried out the hydraulic and mechanical design of complete pump series and prepared the parametric 3D models, technical drawings and casting pattern data.
GURDE and Akmisan
Since 2013, I have been providing independent, outsourced R&D services to centrifugal pump manufacturers under the GURDE Pump R&D and Consultancy name. Integrated into manufacturers’ technical teams, I run the entire process: from turning the requirement, operating conditions and standards into a technical project scope, to CFD evaluation with ANSYS CFX / Fluent, to production-ready 3D models, technical drawings, casting pattern and core data with Siemens NX and SolidWorks, to coordination of the pattern shop, foundry, machining and assembly, to validation by prototype and performance testing, and to transfer into series production. Since 2019, I have been managing Akmisan Pompa’s product development processes; the series we develop, with ErP/MEI efficiency targets taken into account according to product scope, are transferred to production in line with ISO 9001 quality management processes and applicable TS/EN standards, and are used in domestic and export markets.
